The holiday home “FreiraumHütte” is a real gem in the “Steiermark. It’s quiet and remote location invites you to relax and unwind. However, within a few minutes by car you can also reach shops of daily use, such as supermarkets and pharmacies. The nearby meadows and forests are used for sustainable dairy farming, extensive forest management or hay production. Here you can relax on long hikes and toboggan or snowboard uphill in winter. Furthermore, the own garden and the terrace invite the whole family to stay and barbecue.

Unspoilt location

The detached holiday home “FreiraumHütte” is located on a mountain slope in the Austrian Alps. The neighbouring farms of Gewessler (above) and Lurger (below) are only about 500 metres above and below. This offers a lot of space for free development and the possibility to buy fresh and sustainable food.

Experience the scent of fresh grass, hay, summer flowers and more. Whether the sun is shining or it’s raining outside – here you can breathe freely!



On your own large terrace and garden you can enjoy the sun. Whether breakfast, lunch, coffee break or barbecue – every opportunity can be enjoyed outside. The necessary equipment is available on site, such as barbecue, garden table, chairs or chair supports.

Products from the region

The Swiss stone pine is called the “Queen of the Alps”. A coniferous tree that grows in the high mountains of the western Alps and around the Grimm massif. Its fruit – the Zirbenzapfen – is the basis for the well-known Zirbenschnaps.
